JUSTIN DENNEY

Director of Partnerships & Spiritual Formation

Justin is the Founder of KCA and serves as the Director of Partnerships & Spiritual Formation. Since launching the school in 2022, he has been passionate about cultivating a Christ-centered, classically grounded community where students from all backgrounds can experience a life-giving education. Before founding KCA, Justin served with the United States Department of Justice, pastored at CrossWay Community Church, and directed the after-school program at Wilson Elementary School. His diverse background in law, ministry, and education has uniquely equipped him to give vision and bring spiritual strength to KCA. Justin holds a bachelor's degree in Pre-Law from Cedarville University, a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, and a Master of Educational Leadership for Classical Schools from Gordon College. He and his wife, Catherine, are raising their four children and are deeply committed to Christian education and the mission of KCA.

SUSIE JESSUP

Operations Manager

Susie has a gift for making people feel right at home, and she uses her amazing organizational skills to manage all of KCA's behind-the-scenes logistics. In 2025, Susie and her family traded full-time RV travel for life in Kenosha. Susie and her husband, Jay, have six children together, with the three younger ones attending KCA. A former healthcare project manager turned nine-year homeschooling mom, Susie brings the perfect mix of professional skill and heart to our team. She loves campfires, string lights, and a good adventure, but she is most passionate about sharing the beauty of a real relationship with Jesus. Susie is someone who quickly becomes a friend to everyone she meets, and she can't wait to hear your story.

MEGAN HEINRICH

Principal

For more than a decade, Megan has been passionate about learning and inspiring others to share that same love of learning. She has served students and educators across Kenosha at institutions including Gateway Technical College, Wilson Elementary School, the University of Wisconsin–Parkside, Bain/EBSOLA, and KCA. As an instructional leader, Megan is passionate about equipping and supporting excellent teachers, believing that thriving teachers cultivate students who grow in their love of learning, their love for Jesus, and their love for their neighbors. She is committed to seeing the gospel shape a genuinely diverse community in Kenosha, views literacy as a matter of justice, desires to prepare students to delight in and faithfully steward God's world, and hopes to foster a lifelong love of beautiful stories in people of every age. Megan lives in Kenosha with her sister and enjoys Lake Michigan in all of its ever-changing moods.

VINCE LANG

Executive Director

Vince serves as the Executive Director of KCA and is passionate about helping the school flourish as it serves families throughout Kenosha. Vince's leadership is shaped by years of experience in public service, entrepreneurship, and a deep love for the local community. Before joining KCA, Vince served as a Kenosha police officer for ten years, including as a sergeant, where he led, trained, and evaluated fellow officers. He eventually left law enforcement because he saw Christian education as one of the most meaningful ways to invest in the next generation and strengthen the community. In addition to his public service, Vince co-founded a local real estate brokerage, where he has built and led a team of agents. He enjoys building organizations, developing leaders, and helping teams become healthy and effective. Vince and his wife, Brittany, have three sons, all of whom attend KCA. Brittany teaches Middle School at KCA, and together they are members of Crossway Community Church.

ROBERT HORSLEY

Facilities Manager

Robert brings a diverse professional background in engineering, Information Technology, and custom carpentry. He has lived in Pleasant Prairie since 2022 and enjoys being part of the local community. Robert has a long history of volunteering, and values service and teamwork. He is also an aviation enthusiast. Robert is married to Julie and is an active member of Crossway Community Church.

VERONICA SMITH

Director of Admissions & Family Engagement

Veronica serves as KCA’s Director of Admissions & Family Engagement, where she welcomes new families into the KCA community and helps build meaningful, lasting relationships with KCA families. Known for her bright personality and unique ability to encourage and empower others, Veronica creates an environment where families feel seen and supported from their very first interaction with KCA. Veronica brings more than 20 years of experience in education and a deep commitment to nurturing students and partnering with families. Born and raised in Chicago, she has dedicated her career to helping young learners grow while building strong, trust-based relationships with parents and the broader community. Before joining KCA, Veronica taught at Lake County Christian Academy in Waukegan, IL and owned and operated a daycare in Zion, IL, where she served families with consistency and care. She is also a longtime leader at Christian Faith Fellowship Church in Zion, IL where she has overseen children’s ministry for the past 10 years. Veronica has been married to her husband, Andre, for more than 20 years. Together, they share a passion for investing in the lives of others.

JEFF TRIMARK, M.D.

System Medical Group Director

for Quality and Informatics, Endeavor Health

Dr. Jeff Trimark has been a dedicated member of the Kenosha community since 1997. A board-certified internal medicine physician with over 25 years of experience, Jeff currently balances clinical care with a leadership role as an administrator at Endeavor Health. Beyond his medical practice, he has served as an elder at CrossWay Community Church since 2002. Jeff and his wife, Jenny, were married in 1991 and take great joy in their growing family, which now includes two adult sons, two daughters-in-law, and two granddaughters. Their years spent homeschooling through middle school gave them a profound appreciation for classical Christian education.

PAUL CANADA

Dean of Students & Athletic Director, The Field School

Paul Canada was raised in Brookneal, Virginia and has spent over 30 years in youth development and leadership. His experience includes serving as Youth Pastor of the Rock of our Salvation Church in Chicago, co-founding Jireh Sports Ministry in Indianapolis, serving as Vice Principal of the Circle Rock Prep School, and founding the Flipside Academy of Movement. Paul has a B.S. degree in Youth Ministry from Liberty University. He currently serves as the Dean of Students and Athletic Director at The Field School, located in the west side of Chicago. He is married to Carol and has five children.

REV. DEMETRIS CRUM

Pastor, Second Baptist Church

Dr. Demetris Crum is the Pastor of Second Baptist Church in Kenosha, Wisconsin. He and the congregation actively serve the community and spread the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Dr. Crum earned a Bachelor of Arts in Human Resources from Michigan State University, a Master of Divinity with a concentration in Pastoral Ministry, and a Doctor of Ministry in Expository Teaching and Preaching from Liberty Baptist Theological Seminary. Dr. Crum is an executive in a Fortune 100 company. He is recognized for delivering strategic and executional leadership in employee engagement, organization design, capability building, talent and performance management, and employee/labor relations. Dr. Crum is married to Joye Crum, and God has blessed them with a beautiful daughter, Joycelyn Crum. Dr. Crum is a strong advocate of Christian education. His motto is, “Make me to know your ways, O Lord; teach me your paths. Lead me in your truth and teach me, for you are the God of my salvation; for you I wait all the day long.” (Psalm 25:4-5)

Business Analytics Manager, Agile1

Jaran was born in Racine and grew up going to school in Kenosha. He is passionately invested in the Uptown neighborhood. He is a longtime member of 23rd Ave Church of Christ, where he currently serves on the Education and Youth Committee and teaches young adult Bible classes. He has also served as a regular volunteer and mentor at Wilson Elementary's after-school program. He is married to Ashley and the father of six children. Jaran has a bachelor’s degree from Loyola University Chicago and an MBA from UW-Parkside. He is a business solutions analyst for Agile1.

JOSH MATHEWS

Pastor, CrossWay Community Church

Josh was born and raised in Kenosha and has spent most of his life in this city, which he is proud to call his hometown. Since 2014, Josh has been a pastor at CrossWay Community Church, serving in a wide variety of roles. His passions include the good news of Jesus Christ, the uniqueness and wonder of people, food, and personal finance. Josh is married to Ruthie and a dad to Olive. He graduated from the University of Minnesota with a degree in accounting, was a CPA, and then transitioned to complete his Masters of Divinity at Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.

CRYSTAL MILLER

CEO, Frontida Assisted Living

Crystal is a principal owner and president of Frontida Assisted Living, a business operating in southeast and northeast Wisconsin. Frontida Assisted Living has been awarded Milwaukee Journal Sentinel’s Top Workplace award for six consecutive years and Crystal was recognized as the Kenosha Area Business Alliance Entrepreneur of the Year in 2018. Crystal has been active in leadership of several non-profit organizations and offers unique perspectives on how government, service agencies, and business can work together to accomplish positive outcomes. She is married to Steve, and they are parents to three children, Evan, Naomi, and Simon. She and her family attend and serve at Christ the King Church in downtown Kenosha.
